HLTAID011 (Provide First AID)

Qualification Description:

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to a casualty in line with first aid guidelines determined by the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) and other Australian national peak clinical bodies.

 

The unit applies to all persons who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

Statement of Attainment
On successful completion of this course, you will be issued with the following statements of attainment:

HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

TPSC recommends, as per the First Aid in the Workplace Code of Practice and the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines, that first aid skills are renewed every 3 years, and resuscitation skills are renewed every 12 months.
